Review Summary: This is Peaches more focus than she ever has been, but not to suggest there is no room for improvement.

She is back….Merrill Beth Nisker, known to most as Peaches came out with her underground hit debut Teaches of Peaches in 2000, followed up that with her sophomore album, Father***er in 2003, and then the real show stopper, Impeach My Bush in 2006. Impeach My Bush sticks with Peaches style as a dirty-mouth, electro-clash shocker this time speaking out against then United States President, George W. Bush, as notable by the album title. Out of the three albums released thus far under the name Peaches, this is the strongest release, but still that only goes so far in the music business.

Sticking to the tradition of outspoken intro songs, Impeach My Bush opens with *** or Kill. Standing at only 49 seconds long, this is Peaches big *** you to the war on Terrorism. It combines a war statement, and Peaches classic persona, repeating, “I’d rather ***/who I want/than kill who I am told to!” Showing a side of Peaches with a message, something she never really had before on her previous albums.

Another difference of this album is that it really cuts back on Peaches trashy lyrics, it focus more on a punk rock element than her normal sex-electro music. This is not to suggest that these songs are nowhere to be found on Impeach My Bush. Two Guys (For Every Girl) is about a three some with two guys going at it together with a girl. She proclaims this well with the lines, “I wanna see you boys get down with each other/ I wanna see you do your lil nasty brother/just one thing I can't compromise/I wanna see you work it guy on guy.”

Breaking out of her box, Peaches biggest hit song Boys Wanna Be Her was released on this album. Due to being featured on numerous commercials, this song almost putting Peaches in the mainstream, the song features simplistic guitar riffs, and Peaches semi-speaking, semi-singing throughout. The most punk rock song on the album is the shouting, You Love It, featuring guest vocals from none other than punk icon Joan Jett. The chorus is Peaches and Jett shouting in unison, “You love it/you love it when I’m mad,” also using the typical rhythmic rocking guitar common in Peaches songs.

From an album called Impeach My Bush, one cannot expect every song to be great though. Slippery Dick, is clearly the weakest song on the album, and features some of the worst lyrics Peaches has ever written, repeating, “Can you cut the mustard?/to clear the custard,” this song will leave even hardcore Peaches fans scratching their heads. Stick It To The Pimp, a song where Peaches talks her way through the song that doesn’t even match up with the already too-fast beat. Another song that just upsets the flow of the album and could easily be cut out.

The most fun song on the album is Do Ya, which is a perfectly crafted electro song that anyone can sing along too anywhere. Still using the guitar, this song has the best guitar riff on any Peaches album. Impeach My Bush is drawn to a close either making people want to listen again, or say, “What the hell was that?” Peaches still rocks out hard appealing to her, now huge, fan base. She does not give a *** about what people say about her, and her albums are her snapshot of a moment and to her it is her art, and her life. While although fun, still needs a little polishing.

I'm just another bomb
I put my fist through your teeth
You feel it like a come on
Come on come on come on come on

Shout shout shout shooout
Shout shout the way i do
Shout shout baby yeah with attitude
