Review Summary: In Russia mainstream for screaming pubertal girls is able to coexist with musical talent.
In Russia there is this magnificent juvenile band: Нервы. Enthusiastically screaming girls in concerts, tour buses which remind of casting show results and the outward appearances between Justin Bieber and Russian street kids is certainly no proof of quality. Quite the contrary.
BUT: This album undoubtedly is. In Russia mainstream for screaming pubertal girls is able to coexist with musical talent. Nervy's future is promising.
This is the presence. It smells like youth room sweat but it's an exciting sort of smell. Nervy's first album is authentically youthful, vibrantly and entertaining. You cannot understand Russian? It doesn't matter. Me neither.
The band's interaction results in a tasty mixture of a smoky singer voice and great guitar riffs between pop punk and grunge music. Enjoy one of the best LPs of the last year — just feel like a Russian teenager.
And forgive my command of English :)
