MERCY is the only album for this talented American band , that kind of album when you make an audition you realize how good it is and you wonder yourself why this has been the only album for the guys? It's a king of sophisticated prog metal, not an easy listening, but in the end you have the feeling and the conviction that this album is something great, one of a kind album ! The guys were signed by the prestigious prog rock label MAGNA CARTA, , the rooster of other amazing bands, such as SHADOW GALLERY, LEMUR VOICE, ENCHANT, CAIRO, , and it was a good moment for them to show to the good music lovers, what a great musical genre prog metal is ! So, the music of MERCY is true prog metal , with amazing technical chops and skill demonstrations, a great vocalist and a precise musical direction !The guys were very young when they realize the album, but they had wonderful ideas and an impressive potential of creativity and musical ideas ! The band split after this album and 3 of the guys in the band started another great band called WHILE HEAVEN WEPT- a very special and impressive band ! No weal track on this album, a very good production, crystal clear, no weak track, only prog metal gems and overall a great legacy in prog metal history, but it's sad that ALTURA managed to release only this musical pearl !4.5 stars for an unique album in prog metal history !
