Short both in length and fresh ideas. This little EP shows that Keep of Kalessin still have the musical chops to hang with the best of them, but the atmosphere, the intricate songwriting and the production feel extremely thin and weak. The flashy guitar work on the short instrumental track "Flight of the Hatchling" is easily the most intriguing portion of this 10 minute affair. Hopefully these half-baked ideas can be further developed into another "Armada" caliber record in the near future, but I'm not sure I'm that optimistic.
