Review Summary: Among the more interesting albums harsh noise has to offer.

I’ve listened to Pulse Demon. Venereology. Noisembryo. And yet this album is more creative than the rest, in my opinion. Although, the drawback being it is far less intense, as he leans into more ambient influences. But it is a great tradeoff, as it makes tracks more varied and shows a different side of Merzbow that's outside of chaotic and anxiety inducing noise. The effect of these ambient yet noisy loops can be hypnotic, repetitive just enough before he changes to a different loop. But he doesn't forgo the harsh noise aspects, as it can have sudden bursts of the classic ear piercing noise he’s known for. This album has surprised me, with there being a single rhythm and a single beat section. Although it only happens once each, it helps the album out a lot in making tracks varied. I would rate this a 5.0, but this is for those who want more of a break from harsh noise, rather than those wanting to experience the full force of it.
Personally, this is my favorite Merzbow album yet. He’s using more influences and doing more than simply harsh noise.
Don’t sleep on this one.
Recommended Tracks: Looping Jane, Takemitsu.

Nice review. This is a really good Merzbow album but I think he has better ones.

Thanks for interacting.
most people rarely give a comment so my eyes bulged a bit when I saw an entire 4 comments.
I do think that Pulse Demon has some interesting ideas, mainly in tracks Ultra Marine Blues and Tokyo Times Ten, but its not really explored enough in the album for me to enjoy it over something like Amlux.

Pulse Demon is great for the intensity. I think for starters and I would recommend Kaerutope, Merzbird, Hybrid Noisebloom, Exoking, Merzzow, Antimonument, 抜刀隊 With Memorial Gadgets, Vibractance, Amlux, Merzbeat, Door Open at 8am, Aqua Necromancer, Uzura: 13 Japanese Birds Pt. 5
