This LP is excellent,great beats, dark lyrics, nice flow from both "members" Prevail and Mad Child. Nicely fiting hosts like Evidence. This LP is must have if youre real Hiphop head.Quality Underground hiphop straight from Canada LOVE IT and yes Mad Child is one of the best white rapper alive

this is the essential to own members album I kid you not. As a loyal swollen listener since 2001 (2 years after balance) the sheer improvement is mind boggling. Solid lyrics, great featurings (I dont really like planet asia but swamp waters a sick song) and amazing beats..I'd actually buy the instrumental for this cd. Robs on fire not 2 mention a blast from the past with a few beats by Kimo.. regardless of whether you liked these guys in the past you need to own this cd.

With "Black Magic" Swollen Members have left the mainstream sound of "Heavy" and returned to their signature dark sound. This album features great introspective lyrics, intellectualism, aggressive beats, and some great party tracks. Great collaborations with Ghostface Killah, Everlast, Hieroglyphics, Planet Asia, and others makes this an all-star album.
