Review Summary: Every band needs change whether it be good or bad. One Morning Left changed for the better.
The sophomore effort from everyone's favorite Finnish metalcore band, One Morning Left. Let's get right into it shall we? This album is heavier than their previous effort, but they didn't skip the synth and chiptune. The clean vocalist is also heard with little or no autotune which is pretty cool. Turns out, his voice actually isn't that bad. However, the constant use of pig squeals is extremely obnoxious. I get that this band shouldn't be taken seriously, but still.
The first three tracks "I Told You Already," "Words Won't Save You," and "Game of Drink" present a heavier sound and cleaner vocal work. The fourth track, "Sarcoptes Scabeiei" is one of my favorites. There aren't a lot of unclean vocals and the clean vocals are pretty great. However, the four tracks following are flat and boring. "OSCi," the title track, "Faith in Humanity," and "Lol" are where I lost interest in the album and almost stopped listening altogether. They win me back with the last three tracks "Game Over," "F**k the Lyrics," and "Things to do to Get Stabbed." They once again present that heavier and electric sound it had at the beginning ending the album on a strong note.
Overall, since the album is a "self-parody," its a whole lot of fun to listen to. I recommend it to anyone who likes the electric sound and likes a good laugh every now and again.
