Scandinavian alternative folk duo Cannon Beach has in their short lifespan managed to make a considerable amount of music (they started late October 2012), and is already out with an album. They are musically somewhere between Mount Eerie, Nick Drake and My Bloody Valentine, which is not bad (atleast in my book). "Concrete, People and Things" may only be 35 minutes long, but oh it's worth it. The first four songs drags you into a relaxed trance, before "Hotel Earle" comes, the first of many songs on this album that has been going on repeat on my iPhone the last couple of days. The album builds momentum up untill the peak of "Loki", and ends majestic with the relaxed, daring "Maria" They've created quite a few lo-fi masterpieces ("Hotel Earle", "Pink Lune", insanely short "I'll Be Dead" and especially "Loki", my favorite), and I can't wait to hear more from this very promising duo.
