In their debut album, The Devil complement their minimal and pretty much standard take on gothic/doom metal with abstract samples of spoken word, instead of proper vocals. That being said, the album is a very relaxing and atmospheric listen as a whole, however it is also devoid of any dynamics that would keep it interesting in future listening sessions.
