When I first read that CygnosiC's debut album was going to be re-released I immediately thought the idea was pointless. While this is very rare to happen to a harsh EBM album, these re-releases usually consist of the same material plus a couple of remixes. However, A Deity In Pain Reborn is a most welcome release from the Greek act. Because the original release was so damn solid, having it re-recorded, re-mixed, AND re-mastered just made Reborn sound so much better. Along with this in sound came newly recorded vocals which were a definite improvement over the vocals on the original album. They are identical to the vocals on CygnosiC's second album, meaning they are clear, less distorted, and certainly unique in the genre. And of course adding several remixes to the track list is a nice touch.
