The band:

Brody-vocals/guitar
Tony-guitar
Ryan-bass
Andy-drums

I only started listening to The Distillers because a friend recommended them, when I first heard 'The Hunger' I thought they were pretty good and I just loved Brody's voice, so I went out and bought Coral Fang, but a few months later I decided to buy they're older album, and I just fell in love with the band.

This album is The Distillers at their best. Brody screams her heart out on this album, and her voice is just amazing. My only problem with this cd is that after 'City of angels' it kind of gets a little boring. I love the guitar work in most of the songs and the lyrics are very heavy. It's a great punk album, very fast pace.

Track-by-Track:

Sick Of It All-A great start to the album. This is one of my favourite songs on this album. I like the music in this song, it's very punky. The lyrics are very hard, it's just a great punk song. 4.5/5

I Am A Revenant-The beginning of this song caught my attention. The guitar riffs are awesome, and it's very punky. Good follow up song to 'Sick of it All'. 4/5

Seneca Falls-Nothing to special about this song except the bassline is really good. This song never really caught my attention, unlike most of the other songs on the album. Not a bad song though. I give it a 3/5

Young Crazed Peeling-This song is one of my favourites on this album. Brody tells us something about her life in this song and the guitars are really awesome. Everything about this song is good. 5/5

Sing, Sing Death House-Very fast pace song. I love it. It's very punk, probably the turning point on this album. A great Distillers song.5/5

Bullet and the Bullseye-Very catchy tune, great pace, good playing, although it's a pretty short song, it's still awesome. I love how heavy Brody's voice sounds. 4.5/5

City Of Angels-Great punk song. This is probably my favourite song on this whole album. The video is even better. Al I wanna know is how Brosy spikes her hair like that. I give this song a good 5/5

Young Girl- Not my favourite song. This slows down the album and everytime it comes to this song, I skip it. Not a great song. 2.5/5

Hate Me-Now this song picks up the great punk pace the album should be at. I love the heavy screaming, and the guitar riffs and basslines are amazing. It's a very screamo song, but it's very good. 4/5

Desperate-Not a bad song. It's got great riffs, and the lyrics are good, my only problem with it is the counting in the chorus. Still pretty good. 3.5/5

I Understand-The lyrics are really good. I love the music in it. This is a song I like to listen to over and over agian. 4/5

Lordy, Lordy-Now this is where the album ends off. It slows down but sorta picks up. Good ending to the album, the lyrics are good and the riffs are pretty good to. Though it did end off the album, it's not one ofmy favourites. 3/5

Now this is a great cd. If you already own Coral Fang and your thinking about buying this one, go do it. If you liked Coral Fang then you'll love Song, Sing Death House. It's just an overall great punk album!!

My rating has to be a 4.5/5. I would've given it a full 5 but at 'Young Girl' it just slows down and gets a little boring. Still a great album

This album contains one of the worst songs I have ever heard. Fortunately for the band, they make up...

I first listened to Coral Fang and thought it was a decent effort, and when I got this I wasn't too fussed about it. The only track I still listen to is the title track, other than that, it's a pretty average album. Brody is hot though.

Their best album in my opinion. I've never been a fan of Brody Dalle's vocals, but the punk-fuelled aggression overshadows them.

I never really knew about the Brody Dalle/Tim Armstrong thing but damn, Tim sounds like a real piece of work.

They say this is the city,
the city of angels.
All I see is dead wings.

Absolute tune
