4.0 excellent | DarkNoctus | October 13th 12 | don't overlook this just because it's a re-recording of the first demo, it's ten times better than the original recording and absolutely essential if you're a darkspace fan. :]

5.0 classic | thyran | February 16th 13 | Both songs on this are amazing. -1.-1 is 16 minutes of classic Darkspace, with some suprising melodies along the line. The second and last song on this is creepy dark song with a surprising "beat" in it. So you like Darkspace? Then you MUST own this, simple as that.

3.9 excellent | Erwann S. STAFF | February 19th 24 | Banging EP showing Darkspace's cosmic side (the first track) as well as its industrial influences (the second one). Both are masterfully done, as the first track really gives "gigantic empty void vibe" while the second one borders on industrial techno with its steady boom-boomism.

3.5 great | Bedex | November 22nd 22 | Honestly this is pretty great, and I found it far more engaging than LP1. The first track opens with a lot closer material to what I always hope for with Darkspace - a grand wall of bm sound complemented by space evoking synths and/or black hole/supernova-esque grandeur. It does loose a bit of steam for a couple minutes after min 5, but picks things back up after that. It could of loses itself again in the last few minutes, before getting quite epic in a soloey kind of way at the very end sort of min 14. Great quality Darkspace outright and one of my fave tracks at this point of their discog (including LP1). 2's charm and merit is more in how surprising it is. Quite early on we get a slow, pounding, deep slow techno type beat almost, sounding very electronic, and quite unexpected. The track slowly morphs into an almost Rammsteiney industrial kind of thing and gets quite cool with the riff starting around 4:40, before eventually devolving into a dark ambient/droney type conclusion that works ok. I frankly didnt pay too much attention closer to the end. Worth a listen really. 3.55

0.0 | EasterInTheBatcave | June 8th 16 | * This is a review of the original Dark Space -1, not the re-recorded version. * The first track is a cool slice of black metal, though the ambience and the heaviness don't mix as well as they should-- the synth feels tacked on in places. The second track just goes on too long, feeling like a long build-up with no climax. I can appreciate the atmosphere, but more should have been done with it.
