| 3.5 great | cryptside | December 21st 12 | Deas Vail succeed greatly in creating dreamy, gorgeous pop music that has more substance than most acts out there. With this EP, Deas Vail cover Christmas songs, and do it much better than the myriad out there butchering them. Wes Blaylock's angelic voice soars on this release.

| 3.5 great | iGuter | October 12th 12 | Artist's covering Christmas carols is just as old as artist's trying to cover pop tunes. Little did I know Deas Vail made a Christmas EP which I responded with a unenthusiastic sigh. I should have saved that sigh for Pop Goes Punk Vol. 4, because these tracks are far more interesting then another metalcore band screaming Ke$ha lyrics. Everyone has done these songs time and time again, but Deas Vail creates these tracks with such creative care it's a breath of air. It's more comfortable and not over blown like so many bands try to make these songs into. I recommend buying this CD and playing it on a loop or on a mixtape at Christmas parties
