The trend of "indie punk" grows ever more prominent. Such symptoms include angsty grunge-
esque vocal passages, subdued production, psudeo-deep lyrics, atypical pop punk tones and
lines, and tons and tons of Brand New influence. Each of these are very present in this EP.
Not to say that this sounds just like every indie punk band out there, however. Goodman's
Crossing features cathartic rhetorical questions for a chorus, perhaps its a bit much, but
it's definitely effective. A shame that they opted for somewhat of a large change in sound
in the proceeding song, as Basement is largely ineffectual and boring by comparison. Extra
notes: the main singer has a nice vocal tone, but seems to have somewhat weak control.
