The mainstream black sheep record by these guys has hooks for days.

It took me years to finally discover that "Get Away", which was a part of Nascar Thunder 2003, was performed by this band; I felt really indifferent towards the game aside from the customization feature and the licensed soundtrack. Anyway, Blackout is surprisingly cohesive for a record that demonstrates (hed) p.e.'s method of stringing hip hop, rock, and punk together. As dated as the album itself is, this rapcore outfit from Huntington Beach, California sure know how to make a repetitive formula work effectively as much as possible.

I owned this album in the early 00s, and I can't remember anything about it. I think maybe they tried to throw too many techno beats into the mix. Who cares?

This album proves that they have cool grooves, flow and heaviness but couldnt quite master the art of writing a great pop chorus to put the cherry on the cake. Blackout was a great MTV single, its peak nu metal with prerequisite skating, decks and baggy trousers, but i always preferred their wild side. A valient effort to break into the mainstream.
