Circus Devils is the step-child of Robert Pollard and the Tobias brothers that has been locked in in a dark basement somewhere in the Midwest. Their material is darker than Pollard's other incarnations and more experimental as well. Pinball Mars is a concept album and the title is an obvious nod to The Who's Tommy. This is a great album of some disturbing sonic over and undertones from start to finish. Highly recommended.
