I also prefer the Ozzy era but "destroy" is a rather heavy word. The two first Dio albums are amazing. Heaven and Hell is a classic, up there with the rest Sabbath classics. Nevertheless, it's a matter of taste as always with art.

Dio is a better vocalist than Ozzy, period. But I still prefer the six original Sabbath albums. Geezer, Iommi and Ward are just better on those records, and Ozzy's doing a great job as well. I like Heaven and Hell, it's an excellent collection of songs, but some songs are just painfully mediocre in comparison to the majority of the songs they did with Ozzy (again, the first six albums).

Earlier is not always better guys. Early Deep Purple (MK I) is not better than MK II or MK III. Of course Mystery doesn't prove that Dio is cheesy. You either like his lyrical themes or you don't. On the other hand Ozzy's reality show is cheesy as hell.
