For a long time I rejected every album PF made after "The Wall". But now, I think I will check this and "The Division Bell".

This is definitely worth checking out. One of the most emotional album I've ever heard.

The Division Bell is decent too.

Disagree hard. Although The Division Bell does have some great songs.

this feels pretty weak at points but the emotion and gilmour's solos are top-notch, just like they

were on the wall. in every other aspect i find the wall to be way better

For me this is a much more coherent and well-crafted album than The Wall. Also the concept is much more personal, allowing for the listener to connect with it more. I like the fact that on this album Roger (to quote the title track) quite literally "bares [his] naked feelings" and "tears the curtain down", the curtain being a metaphor for the fictional story he used for The Wall's concept, which in a way masked the more emotional aspects of the album.

musically the wall is so much ahead of this. also, the wall has a lot of sentimental value for me

This one and the next album of pink floyd aren't as bad as many people preach, the main problem with the final cut and a momentary lapse of reason is that both of them seem more solo albums than pink floyd albums

How does that have any bearing on the actual quality of the music contained on the album?
