This is a surprisingly divisive album. Some people just can't handle the feels all over this.

But one guy I played it to like 15 years ago still thinks I'm a god for introducing this album to him.

Zak, listen to the instrumental ‘Pick Up if You’re There’, feel the nostalgia and then bump this to a 4.5 :D

This is classic

Even the instrumentals are amazing once you’ve lived with them for ages

The Istanbul live performance of this album in full is perfect too

I will never use the word "amazing" to describe "The Drunk Room," nor the proto-GameCube bit that follows "Delta Sun"

"Holes," "Goddess," and "Funny Bird" on the other hand...

Hope this grows on me, but upon first listen, their first 3 are more my thing

Especially Yerself is Steam, that's a great one

Do you hear Silent Night on Endlessly?

I feel that is the album's dividing point.

Yeah it gets too sugary for some.

It still has some darkness - The Funny Bird and Pick Up If You're There aren't sugary

Also Hudson Line is called a weak spot but that's an amazing tune, late train ride out of town it always gets a play

I'm all about the 3 first songs and Goddess. Funny Bird and Hudson Line, yeah eh they're ok but also somehow a little bit grating.

(I'm allergic to sax)
