Danger Days is a punk album made by the Disney channel. It's bad.

DD has maybe two good songs and not even that great, also DD was not the album that was promised

I agree, it wasn't what was promised. That was conventional weapons, which blows DD outta the water. DD isnt a punk album. It's a pop album, accepting that makes it easier to enjoy it.

Danger Days was dull and pretty forgettable imo. But then again, I have the controversial opinion that Bullets was their best album and that the band are fairly overrated in general (especially this album).

Didn’t realize these guys had such a small discog (only four LPs looks like).
Are they really worth checking out? Haven’t listened as their image always turned me off tbh. Their averages are shockingly lower than I thought. Isn’t this album considered to be a minor classic?

It's definitely worth checking out, Lark. Don't listen to the folks who throw it into the FOB and P!ATD bucket. It rocks a lot harder than any mainstream "emo" record of the time. I reckon it'll surprise you, though the image is pretty silly.

“Well this comment didnt age well.“ [2]
And yeah, still worth checking Lark. The guitarwork on display throughout most MCR more than alone makes for a damn fun time.

Ray Toro is one of the best modern rock guitarists, wish he’d start a new band

He’s excellent from a technical proficiency point of view, but his greatest strength and weakness can be reliance on emulation: he can channel his inner Brian May and do it very well, but as a result all you hear throughout Black Parade are Queen throwbacks.

yeah, That's why Ray's solo stuff sucks so badly, it sounds derivative of his influences. He doesn't have the punk fury or frank or the melodic creativity of Gerard to back him up. These guys lived and died on Gerard's leadership and Frank's ferocity. Ray was just a great guitarist to add more flavor to the pie. I'm getting lost in my metaphor.

Frank Iero's and the Future Violents is shockingly good and Im shocked that I just found out about it. Highly encourage everyone to look into their new record. Pumped to see him at Riot fest.

Multiple sources have confirmed a full tour after this show, and they’re selling merch with a new band design and the word “return”, so they’re full-fucking-blown back baby
