I disagree entirely- I find it to be quite emotional, particularly Hold This Woe, but to each his own

This is one of the best debut albums ever by any band. What an atmosphere throughout the record with melancholic melodies and some crushing riffs with huge headbanging potential. Best album by Swallow the Sun.
