"a misogynistic homophobe"
lol he literally was the exact opposite of this
See, he wasn't anti-women, anti-gay people, or anti-anything when it came to how someone was born, but he'd be incredibly crass and mock everyone to push the boundaries of censorship (in turn pushing for more freedom of Speech.) This is why he actually went to court against Tipper Gore when she tried to get the Government to pass laws to censor music. Also, especially when it came to his earlier work, he was heavy on the satire, but criticized people for their actions, rather than who they were. His point was that you can goof on everyone and that it's okay. He was a fan of social rights without having to be an annoying SJW. If anything, socially he was more a liberal than many of today's liberals.
In other words, when Zappa sings a song that seems to be mocking women for instance, he's actually making fun of misogynists..Zappa's mocking the people who are like "ohh I love how Catholic girls go! Hot!" he doesn't actually want a Catholic girl for himself lol
Here's a direct quote from Zappa:
"Some people miss the joke. In general, I was a convenient enemy and they could get exposure for their causes by coming after me. But I'm not antigay. When Ross Perot announced he was running for president, I wanted him to choose Barney Frank as a vice-presidential candidate. He is one of the most impressive guys in Congress. He is a great model for young gay men." -Frank Zappa
The main things Zappa was intolerant of was religion, greed, and people who get easily offended.

Nothing bad happened, I was just refuting a false accusation.
Zappa used to get called out for being anti this and anti that and it was ridiculous. Kind of like how people thought Mark Twain's book Huckleberry Finn was racist, when it's main function was to make racist people look like idiots and assholes.

Tbh Zappa had some really great ideals. The one which I most agree on is the one when he addressed the war on drugs. He basically said that soft drugs shouldn't be illegal to possess as long as the consumer doesn't harm anyone. Makes sense, actually. Drugs are legal = lowering of price = not so many narcotics. People would me much more relaxed, too.

Dont tell me to calm down! I'm not stressed! WHAT THE F--
