I doubt this is true for the simple fact that a large portion of the Ween fanbase actually appreciates a lot of old school country, and that this album isn't necessarily taking the piss out of country since Ween actually likes older country music.



They hired real country musicians as a backing band and it's more of a silly homage than anything else

I'm not saying it's true of every fan but there are without a doubt some out there.

yeah piss up a rope is the band's "Budweiser nascar republican lifted chevy truck crew cut tailgate party at a college football game in nebraska" country-style parody song, but it sucks really hard.
