I'm not even a fan of the band and I thought it was probably the best biopic that's been done on a band/artist. Machine Gun Kelly is actually pretty good in it, too.

I seriously doubt it’s better than Ray, Walk the Line, The Doors or 8 Mile (basically a biopic).

The movie was lifetime movie quality. But it was fairly entertaining and mgk was pretty good as was Iwan whatsisname who played Mick Mars.

And it was certainly more enjoyable than 8 mile which has never really justified its existence in my opinion

Don’t bother, the rap battle at the end is the only redeemable thing from it and you can just watch that on YouTube

The movie is dumb, plastic, sophomoric, R-rated TV movie of the week and is only interested in the surface level "greatest hits" of Motley Crue's debauchery and drug/legal problems. But it slickly made and seems to know it's vapid and shallow and soulless and just manages to entertain on a basic "Oh this is an interesting story" level of a popcorn movie, but if you've already seen a Behind the Music on the band you already know the story. It's not a well made film but I can't say it didn't entertain me, would never go above 3/5 for it though. MGK was again sort of good but not in a real breakout kind of way, but kid's got talent as an actor.

I agree that it superficially brushes over their story, but my argument against people criticising that aspect is that there's a lot of stuff to get through. I think they did a pretty good job of squeezing it all in there tbh.

"Kickstart My Heart" may be one of the greatest songs ever.
