Low End Theory definitely shows its age in places however you can't deny its influence and impact (both on hip-hop and jazz). Q-Tip isn't the most exciting rapper, but that doesn't bother me when I'm getting caught up in the silky smooth groove of Ron Carter's bass (I think it's worth noting that ATCQ were ahead of their time here - long before the Fugees and the Roots, they opted for live instrumentation over sampling and programming - for one album at least)

Phife brings the hype, Q-tip brings the actual good rapping.
also, Camp Lo's first album >>> Pete Rock and Gang Starr imo. I never really liked anything to do with Pete Rock tbh.

Camp Lo's first album >>> all other hip hop recs
