Especially with the song 'When You Were Young'. This single debuted way before the album came out and by the time the album came out, it was already topping the charts in radio stations all over the world.

I like this album. Feels much less 'one hit wonder' which i thought was a bit of a problem with Hot Fuss.

Damnit "When You Were Young" has been stuck in my head for a long time now...

I'm surprised it's average rating is so low. I figured (from what I've heard) it be at least close to a 4. I think I'll get this soon.

I haven't heard this yet, except for the singles, and those were pretty damn good (especially the latest one, 'Read My Mind') so I can't see this being anywhere near a 1/5.

They don't like the songs/band/former album so it's automatically a 1. They don't take into account that it may be bad to them but that doesn't make it the lowest-of-the-low 1.

i hated the song bones for awhile, but it grew on me quite quickly

and i picked up this album shortly after

it has a few very iffy songs

I like this album a lot. I prefer the style of Hot Fuss, but the synths shine through on the better moments of this album, like Read My Mind and The River is Wild.

I like this a hell of a lot more than I thought I would.
