Cities that low :O

That was once my favorite Talking Heads song ever, though honestly now it's Crosseyed and Painless.

I couldn't pick a fav if I tried, their first 5 albums are just littered with classic tracks

True, honestly I like Little Creatures a bit more than 77.

That's no insult to 77 though.

Can't seem to get into that album much, but And She Was and Road To Nowhere are up there with the best no question

Idk man. Remain in Light gets to those corners of my mind that really fucks with me. This rules, but Remain in Light feels darker existentially (for me)

The darkest moment of Remain is "The Overload", and that is just a parody of Joy Division. Bryne has said so himself. This record is, from beginning to end, a bitter end to their punk era.

The story I heard was not parody. I heard that someone described Joy Division to them and that Talking Heads (having never heard them) tried to imitate the sound described

Remain in Light is almost tied with it, but it just narrowly beats it in my opinion. : )

And they pretty much nailed it. In my mind it was never meant to be a serious track. Bryne has always liked fucking with people.

Idk. A lot of people tend to write off The Overload, but I think it's a perfect closer. I can't find anything about that story now so I'm not sure.

See, that's how I feel about "Drugs". It's haunting for me.
