'On the CD version of the 20th anniversary edition (which I'm assuming is the same as the Spotfiy version) the liner notes say all tracks were remastered in 2014 by Jens Bogren (not remixed though). So i believe it's a remastered version of the original '94 mix followed by a remastered version of the '93 mix.'
Courtesy of Scuro's reply to me over in the 'featured review' comment section for this album. Does this help at all?

This is some sort of remaster of the original.
Ihsahn's vocals are so good on this. This is my stuck on a deserted island with 10 albums choice for black metal.

Yeah. I bought it. It’s worth the purchase. The sound is fuller and clearer without losing the atmosphere of the original.

Not too bad, still seems unncecessary. Imo it removes some of the atmosphere.

@DemonOfTheFall: I'm not talking about the 2014 20th anniversary version. I want to know about the current 2017 one.
@Others: it seems that one says "released October 25, 2013 " so not sure either that it's the current one.
