This is great but I think Anthems is better. In fact, I think Equilibrium IX and Prometheus are better too but I prefer the more technical and symphonic Emperor. This is still a great album and a classic so the rating is accurate.

Woot! I just bought this cd at BestBuy (of all places!) I'll give a listen/rating soon.

I find that the production on In the Nightside Eclipse creates the most amazing atmosphere when you listen to it, it transports you into the front cover

I love how this has the absolutely crazy cover art, and then when you open up the booklet, it's like all landscape pictures. :lol:
I should get this from my friend, if we're ever to see Emperor in July (which will probably be never).

I caught my self one day walking to my friends house listeing to this cd it was getting dark and i was walking through a golf course to get to his house
The trees, the snow, the dark......and listeing to this cd
I was uplifted i guess, i cant explain how relaxing that was
