is that so? I've neglected it because it's a mix album. will q it up too.
usually remix albums are a mess with a handful of gems and a lot of bullshit but seriously this is one of my favourite bonobo releases
|
| |
yeah, been meaning to check out his latest album as well. got some listening to do. (machinedrum that
is)

agreed about remix albums. plus you hear the same bloody song in similar takes over and over on a lot of them which feels like Ludovico torture after a while.

none of that to be found here!
there are several versions of eyesdown but they are all completely different artistic visions and it works really well
otherwise there are like no remixes of the same songs

Love how unrestrained and rawTommy's vox are on here, sounds like he's gasping for breath constantly.
Mordecai is prob BTBAM's best song and this album has big bollocks, for sure.

Aesthetic is such a jam.
What gives with that clicky bass drum tho? Almost as bad as Nihility by Decapitated haha.

I second that notion regarding Tommy's vocals. He's improved on Alaska and subsequent records, but on here, he's like a vicious beast trapped inside the most unassuming siren. The Man Land is just so good.
