The only BtBAM I have is Alaska, and its worth it for Selkies, but other than that is a very 'Parts' cd. I can't decide if I'm gonna check this or Colors out first. I really like what I've heard off of colors

Colors is one of the most original albums I have ever heard in my life
and yet you claim to have heard their entire discography.

I can't say that BTBAM has done anything truly "bad"

TSC>Colors>S/T>Alaska
Alaska had songs like Selkies and Backwards Marathon, but the s/t was a good listen all the way through whereas Alaska got really boring at parts.

I have heard their entire discography. Colors is without a doubt their masterpiece....so far.

it's good but it's not "one of the most original albums ever"

the only thing keeping me from giving this album a 5 is the emo breakdown halfway through. Completely unnecessary.

Alaska and Colors are definately better, but i just got this, and am loving it none the less. Mordecai and Ad a Dglgmut especially are amazing.
Some of Tommy's vocals on this album annoy me though, his death vocals are fine, but when he screams it just sounds annoying most of the time.

Tommy is definitely a competent vocalist but I can understand why some people don't like his mid range. Those screams took a while for me to become accustomed with. He is much better on both Alaska and Colors I feel.

That's because on Alaska and Colors his voice is completely digital and layered and fixed up to compensate for his lack of good.

Well said.

I enjoyed this album a lot.
Mordecai is just a classic. Shevanel is a great mellow song, and i find it hilarious every time i listen to it, and immediately when the song ends, it's back to reality and ada dglgmut hits you like a brick wall.
|
| |
Why is that funny?
|

I've only heard mordecai from this album, but that is incredible, so I'm gonna be getting confessed to copy me this real soon.

I wish they redo Mordecai, I mean, its awesome the way it is now but with the new band members, it can be so much more. Especially the bass...it was lacking in that song but I like the bass during the guitar melody at the end.
