What a great album. After all these years whenever I return to it I am in love with AIC all over again, the opening three tracks just kill.

Great album, but frankly, one of the worst reviews I've ever read. You indicated that you had not even listened to some of the songs before you wrote this review. I think that's pretty much a basic requirement. I also expect some more perspective rather than what songs are your favorite for the moment, what song is the first you heard, and on and on. Describe the music rather than repeating the word "awesome" three times in a row. And if you can't even understand the lyrics or why you don't like a song (e.g. your comments on Angry Chair, Dirt, and Junkhead), then you shouldn't be reviewing the album, period. No offense. Hopefully your next review is more worthwhile.

I love most of the songs on this album, and the first 3 songs on the album killed it. "in a good way" It really makes me want to listen to the album all over again...over all..Awesome

Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell harmonize extremely well. They both have really good voices that make a very original sound that never gets old.

First listen I felt the same, around a 2.5. Second listen was more of a 3.5. I loved it after that though.

One of the most emotionally-draining albums ever; its utterly fantastic but so hard to listen to

Right now Im probly at a 3-3.5 but it might still grow. I really dont like how the new singer's voice is always kinda drowned out and is never really able to dominate the song.

I agree CrazyGreg this is one of these emotionally draining albums. Soundgarden's Superunknown is another one of those.
