The solo in Them Bones is one of my favourite ever. I kinda overplayed this album, but its still great.

Them Bones and Dam That River are two of the best album openers ever. I love this CD.

dear mr. reviewer, you should have probably spent more time listening to the music, not just skipping tracks you donīt like for first twenty seconds before you decide to do a review on it....

Every song on this album is very good IMO. Dirt would most probably be the weakest track, but still good.

Would? is so classic.

hey just a heads up for the reviewer. cantrell is responsible for all the guitars on the album xcept angry chair. staley wrote the guitar part and i believe he played it. also would? is a tribute to andrew wood of mother love bone but he died from an od so i guess its still about drugs. im actually a big fan of the junkhead demo. its a bit different from the version on Dirt but i think the harmonies on the chorus are better. id give it a listen i know its in the AIC music bank. good review tho.

Cathedral: of course there is much more grunge bands than six, but there are not well-known or famous, so if you donīt look for them itīs obvious you think there is just few of them
another thing is, that it is very questionable if AIC was or not "grunge band". Of course you can hear a bit of grunge in their sound, mostly in their later albums, but at that time when you were from Seattle you were automatically recognised as a grunge. AIC is probably more alternative metal with a bit of grunge in it.

This is a great CD. It's a shame that Alice In Chains had to be grouped with the grunge bands when they had so much more talent than the others. Would? is easily their best song they ever recorded, IMO anyway. Hate To Feel is a close contender too, and Them Bones is amazing as well. I would call this the best CD to ever come out of the grunge scene, and great review by the way.

Rooster is the first song of theirs I heard. It's probably my favorite off the record too. The guitar solo in the Them Bones is amazing.

Bad-Ass Album from what I think is the greatest Grunge band ever. This was the first CD I ever owned. My Mom's friend bought it for me for my birthday and I think I was in elementary or middle school at the time. It still gives me chills to listen to it.

Its quite surprising how long it took for Rooster to grow on me. I was really disappointed for a long time with it, particularly considering its their best known song. It was awesome to see AIC at Download, awesome beyond awesomeness...

William DuVall of Comes with the Fall. He has a kinda similar voice to Layne which fits in with AICs music well.
