Hey, you never know, it could get a 1.5 maybe even a 2. We'll see.

You were right on about the cover art, that is one ugly picture of Jessica. This was a good review but I've never liked Jessica Simpson...except for her acting in Dukes of Hazards.

Don't forget Ride the Lightning.
Jessica never grabbed me either. I certainly don't claim to be a 90's pop aficionado, but she always seemed sub-par compared to Aguilera, who is pretty bad-ass.

Just doing my modly duty - try to avoid the spam/off-topic stuff, guys.
I've only heard the single, it was nice and fluffy and the video was fun. I'll definitely check the album out but I don't have high hopes. I'm just hoping for something on par with the single.

Why, so you can listen it once and give it a 1?
I'm not a fan of pop, hip-hop, or rap. Hence the low ratings on albums of those genres I have listened to. I'll openly admit that. It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. Hence forth I will continue to rate pop/hip-hop/rap albums however I feel based on how much I enjoy the music, most likely they will be low ratings. There's nothing wrong with that. I'd appreciate if you and Bron would quit giving me so much grief over this. It's getting a tad annoying.

As long as you actually listen to the entire album at least a few times and give it a chance, beyond an initial listening, then vote what you want to vote. It just sucks when people vote 1 without having heard anything, or only the single, or only having listened to the album once but not provided for growing time. This Message Edited On 08.28.06

Metallicaman, you do it in a fully ignorant and biased manner. As Sep said, if you go into the album sure that you're going to hate it, and listen to it once, and etc., you might as well have rated it without listening at all. And sometimes I wonder if you do. I am not a pop or hip-hop fan either, but I've found things from both genres that I truly enjoy, and the only way I can think of that you wouldn't find something to like as well is if you were just clicking ones and twos because their of genre. Actually, I don't do it in a biased manner at all. I try my best to keep an open mind towards other genres as much as I can. Infact as of late I've been getting into genres I wasn't to big on before like, pop-punk. I was never a fan of the simple instrumentals, now I like it. These genres of music just haven't grown on me yet. I often try listening to them thinking that perhaps my views will have changed, but to know avail. So, I end up giving them bad ratings. As, for your remark about me rating albums without listening, tbh I take offense to that. I've told you already that I do listen to them all teh way through. Sometimes not by personal choice, but by a friend forcing me, but regardless of why I listen to them I do listen to them. I don't want to hear any more on that matter.

Listen to T.a.T.u's 250km/h in the Wrong Lane. Easily the best pop album ever created. That will pretty much make any one a pop fan.
Anyone else think Eva Longoaria looks mega out of place in that Public Affair video?
|
| |
I was thinking Christina Applegate was out of place. Isn't she like 40?
The video was fun though.
|
| |
I think it had to do with what Eva was wearing. Applegate (to me at least) looks pretty at home with Jessica and Milian despite being the least pretty of the bunch.
I was really surprised by the ice cream scene in that video. Who knew Jessica could be that dirrty.

The video was fun though.
I can agree with that. Though I didn't enjoy the music, the video was entertaining.

this is a very nice review of a pretty good album. heard it at my sisters a couple of times yesterday. didn't make a lasting impression, but it isn't bad for what it is. if i could rate her tits along with the album i'd givie it a 4.5. but as it stands she gets a three. nice review, once again....This Message Edited On 08.28.06

Metallicaman, I didn't say you did rate without listening, I just said sometimes I rather wonder given all of your album ratings. I stand by all that I said, but I don't particularly want to drag Iluvatar's lovely review along with this debate.
|
| |
Alright, I wouldn't to scuff up his nicely polished review either. Truce.
|
| |
I don't believe this review.

My girlfriend just picked up this cd, I heard the single and the first time I didn't like it. But the second time I heard it I loved it and found it really catchy...I have no idea why. I'll probably give this cd a listen tommorow, and give it a good rating to help Iluvatar out, since even though he's the only one who has replied and voted on the album it is somehow at 2.3

i've heard bits and peices, and although i never really listen to pop music, it isnt bad

The upbeat songs on this are really good.

Album Rating: 2.0
This is without a doubt the worst album along with J.Lo's COMO AMA UNA MUJER I've bought this year so far! Almost no strong track. I quite like "Swing With Me", "I Don't Want To Care", "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" and "A Public Affair" - but dislike pretty much all the other songs. "B.O.Y.", "Back To You" and "I Belong To You" are especially awful! Sorry, but I can't agree with the reviewer... the album is ways below an average standard level.
