Seen and Not Seen is worst on here and Houses is basically perfect and super dancy, the danciest on side B

Maybe I just don’t think they should be together on the tracklist. I dunno, sometimes people say an album slows down too much, and I feel like…side B just slows down too much overall. But those two really slow songs being together makes the album feel unbalanced at that point for me. Seen>Houses by a bit tho

Houses/Seen are the worst tracks here, agreed. The Overload super underrated.

The overload is probably the worst and then listening wind the second worst for me lol

Both Ars takes [2]
Houses probs the worst track of its kind here but still perfect. Listening Wind absolutely top tier here, captivating storytelling, bassline to die for

Always thought the cadences on that song were absolutely perfect for the protag's alienation from the US of A

Tbh Sona I feel like you want an albums that’s constantly danceable from them and I gotta say for that: Speaking in Tongues is a better choice, less slow atmo pieces, more jittery dance tracks

Might be the move!!

that was my initial take as well, I was kind of stumped why more people didn't lean towards Speaking In Tongues just because its such a more fun, upbeat record. This one definitely grew overtime and is now my favorite but yeah speaking in tongues or even watching the Stop Making Sense film is probably a best first choice

Listening Wind is unreal

The Overload is the Heads' spiritual homage to Joy Division and quite frankly a perfect way to come down from this high octane album.
