I'm gonna be honest - a friend of mine recently broke of his engagement because his swifty fiance had been cheating on him for months. And I mean she was a SWIFTY. She wore a chain 'round her neck with his name not because he owned her, but because he know(n) her. Well, look how that turned out lol
I really don't like fandoms in any capacity, even with stuff that I like like Coheed, but once you hit the big leagues of artists it genuinely devolves into cultish behavior that's been accelerated by social media and the capitalistic tendencies of the industry
It's just such a wild divide because I can listen to reputation or lover or folklore and think "yeah, this is nice. I'm havin a good time" but to some people, they start speaking in tongues

Lover is largely weighed down by ME! and You Need to Calm Down, which are baffling single choices, and I Forgot That You Existed. The rest of the album is honestly pretty damn good, and I even think something like London Boy is at least camp. Nothing here comes close to False God or Lover
