Nordic Anthem makes me proud to be 2.3% Scandanavian according to Ancestry.com (that seems like a small number but it means my forefather lived long ago!) I put it on loud when I wear my mjollnir pendant and raise my drinking horn high. skal, brothers! to the rowing pit!

Got excited when I heard Summit but the other singles after it have been meh.
Same thing happened to me with the previous album, Up North was amazing but then the album was boring.

If you want a more raw black metal sound with some slight prog underpinnings I'd recommend the debut or olden domain. Quintessence or empiricism if you'd rather have blackened prog metal

Grown on me massively. Every song hits in its own right. I think Frost said it’s a mature album and I agree - by musicians who have been around the traps - the songwriting is so strong. It reminds me of later Amorphis and In Mourning
