So I saw their opening show of this new tour and it was great, I still prefer the tracklist for the Joy tour but they're still fantastic live
there's more experimentation and some of the new tracks actually sound great live, specifically Roy, Gift Horse, Grace and Dancer, the others I could do without but overall great concert

this'll be the first time I've decided not to see them on a UK tour since the Brutalism tour, not arsed about seeing them at the Birds Eye Chicken Dipper Arena

Damn Flug, glad you like but this is just monotonous as a whole imo.

I know I'm relentlessly shitting on this as a cynical, emotionally disingenuous letdown, but more power to you if you're seeing something in it I'm not.

Just goes to show that if you consume enough shit, it’s possible to become accustomed to and actually appreciate the flavour

Just seen them on tour, they nailed it, rhythm section was tight af. Didn’t mind the new songs at all, and the 2 hrs play time was more than decent.
The setlist was heavily based on their first 2 (and the new one ofc), Ultra Mono and Crawler was present only in traces, which was a good choice from the band. Model Village was painfully missing tho.

Hmm finally listening to this, thought it would be way worse based on reception
Gift Horse is excellent

Alright, nevermind this is easily their worst. Gift Horse and Dancer are really the only highlights.
I would like Hall & Oats, Jungle, POP POP POP, Gratitude, and Roy more if the mixing wasn't so weird?? They're not bad, I just don't get the production choice.
As for Monolith, IDEA, and Grace... chop. Don't go anywhere.
Low 3.5 for me I think and I really liked their last two albums

Dancer is the only good song on here, the rest is different shades of boring and no, multiple listens didn't help. Made it worse actually
