Agreed and even then it’s not that memorable imo. Modern death-doom needs a fire under its butt. Dream unending’s first album was great but the follow up was mids and their latest more or less abandoned the style

Norma do you dig Evoken? Lot of the guitar tones on this record calls to mind stuff they were working with, particularly during their Antithesis of Light / Caress of the Void days

ive also never really dug that band too much. its been a while since ive jammed any of it though. i seem to remember it also falling into the "boring drumming that plods along" trap. might revisit just for shits.

Really digging the "doom" parts here but the death metal parts don't hit as hard, not that they're bad its just they really nailed that doom sound, sounds so good
