Another Mgla worship band. This one was probably the best album I've heard among all the others though (Groza, Uada, Furia, Gaerea, etc...). It could be the only band that gets my 4 for worshippin' Mgla at some point ig

Nice, the first great album of a new year. Enjoying it a lot, easy 4. It helps that it's just six 6-7 minute songs with enough individuality to make it fly by. Haven't really discovered any particularly high highs but very consistent nonetheless.

Jammed this at work, solid stuff but very far from being a 4.5, imo. Nice review though, fellow Contrib comrade, it's good to see such enthusiasm in a review!

Thanks Gara. Idk man this just did it for me. I think the guitar work is stellar and I really like the atmosphere these guys created but to each his own.

Finally getting around to this. "Oceans of Fire" is really good.

I have the same problem with this I had with Blackbraid last year though, it all sorts of go in and out without much to hold on to and it's pretty much the same dynamic for the entire run. Don't wanna spoil the party but feeling a 3 for this atm.

Totally fair. I enjoyed black braid's release, but ive certainly felt the way you do about this record concerning others.

Melodies are really good though, that Mgla DNA is put to good use.

I'm a huge Mgla fan and I think they capture the sound pretty well so that subconscious bias may have found its way into my review.

That's totally fine dude, if you dig that sound it makes sense you loved this. They totally nail it.

Honestly this is the best Mgla worship I've heard so far, and I've heard quite a few. None of them made me want to revisit as much as this.

I mean is it really Mgla worship?

I definitely hear the mgla influence, but I think the solos really adds their own stuff to the record.
