weird album tbh, i rly love it when it's on because the production is excellent and everything just sounds great, but when it's over i can barely remember anything and don't feel like listening to it again yikes. jammed it like 6 times now and still very on the fence : /

yeah im with Jespy, prob just gonna pull the highlights (UL, selah, bite through, survived by, puncture wounds and TT) over to a playlist and ditch the album.

final thoughts after 8 or so listens is that it would be far stronger and have better pacing with 9-10 tracks instead of 12. still really irks me that the longest running song that crescendos to one of the highest emotional peaks on the entire album is the opener. on a positive note, the shane told/emery/mid 2000s emo vibes sprinkled throughout are cool.

So glad someone else mentioned Shane Told, I've been saying to Jay that this sounds so much like old school Silverstein

I'm a massive fan of this band but I'm regrettably unmoved by this album. The title track is brilliant but everything else feels so vapid and forgettable by comparison. I adored their comeback singles, particularly the dynamic 'Atone', I dont hear anything like that on here.

Only speaking on the lyrics as that's all I've had the ability to digest from it so far, but this feels much wordier than before. Curious to find if it's distracting to hear "ubiquitous", "verisimilitude", "ennui" sung lol

The vocalist sounds just like Hopesfall on For Katie. I keep hearing it.

There is hardly any screaming in this album and I need at least some more screaming. Gonna be a forgettable pass. Their first two album are rock solid tho, this one is a floundering mess of misses.
