Do the vague whiffs of plagiarism not give anyone else the ick? Not seen any discussion of it; maybe I’m overreacting, but unless I’m mistaken there are literally lyrics taken from Driponomics by SOUL GLO plopped into Microphones in 3030 without credit. It’s not like sampling in a hip hop thing, they’re literally just taking someone else’s lyrics and passing them off as their own. Idk feels bad man.

The yeezy/nike etc bars at 1:40 on The Microphones in 3030. It’s the same as 0:35 onwards on Driponomics by SOUL GLO.
The innocent explanation would be they are both referencing the same general thing that I’m not aware of, but absent that it feels weird.

I don't think you're missing an in-joke, you're just missing the joke - it'd be like a band that named themselves Cumverge playing Nails 'You Will Never Be One of Us' halfway through a song but remixing it for a sick phonk edit on youtube.
It's just a nod to SOUL GLO / Driponomics that you'll obviously only recognize if you've heard the song before - so I suppose it is an in-joke..
