I respect what she is doing in terms of music ownership but when you're a billionaire what difference does it make? The original recording of 1989 is a pop classic and Taylor's version just sound like her doing karoake over the original.

I have no dog in the race on whether her motives are capitalist or socialist or whatever the hell, i just wish someone with more emotional resonance and uniqueness to their voice had her level of popularity, but the masses clamor for the plainest, most accessible vocal palates I guess
