The ambient track rulez agreed m/
|

Steve Roach was just at a Blood Incantation show and he took a picture with the band
|
| |
The second track feels shorter than the first one even tho it’s longer, it’s just such a breeze to sit through

Admittedly I don’t really get their ambient side, it’s a weird thing to ‘get’ generally for me, even if it does occasionally happen
I would rather just put some chill beats on, y’know minimal techno / house or just some damn trip-hop / downtempo

Still????

I mean, their last EP was the most common or garden space ambient I've heard in my days? Cool that Steve Roach is supporting em though

it's a full-band track and is much more exciting than normal space ambient so it's above mid imo. v atmospheres, v ethereal production, owow

Could care less for their ambient stuff but Obliquity of the Ecliptic is one hell of a track.

i like the idea of blending the ambient in with the death metal for these guys to enhance the spacey vibe, but not necessarily on its own
as a somewhat related example, some of ulcerate's best tracks are where they let things breath a little (post-metal sections) interspersed with the obvious violence of their chaotic death metal base
|
| |
Damn keep forgetting to jam this, fuckin' EPs
|
| |
But if we're slowly inching towards just chatting 'bout primarily metal artists that do good ambient, let's talk Spectral Lore
