Yanno i've often seen that complaint but like I actually quite love the clean vocals? iirc they sound like a nasally dark wizard conjuring up seabeasts and imo it fits extremely well.
Almost wouldn't mind seeing a straight up NWOBHM/Doom metal project from them tbh

Yeah the clean vocals in this are pretty cool and used sparsely enough that it doesn't sound forced. Kinda reminds me of Triptykon or Septicflesh.
