'Vol 4 and Master of reality are better'
This and MOR are pretty much tied imo but Vol 4 is a bit of a drop off. i still have it at 4.5 though so not much.

Oh man when we first heard that: "These guys sound like Sabbath!' And then we danced around in unfettered joy.

"Do you guys know of any band that sounds like Planet Caravan or Solitude? Like there are tons of spacey/psychedelic bands but none of them have this particular style"
I'll answer to myself in case anyone's interested as well: I forgot about Nazareth's Please Don't Judas Me. Classic song and probably the closest one I've seen to ones like Planet Caravan and Solitude

Hmm Dreamer Deceiver by Judas Priest might work. It's definitely spacey/psychedelic.

Are we talking bout bands in general or just metal bands? Cause Pink Floyd also made a ton of spacey songs...

We're talking songs like Solitude and Planet Caravan. Floyd doesn't work there I think.

Why not? The atmosphere that those tracks convey was mastered by PF.

Not sure I agree. Which Floyd song sounds most like Planet Caravan?

Good question. There are several songs on Floyd's debut that i would say share a similar vibe, but it's been long since i've heard piper, so i could be wrong. Some songs from meddle also share some traits and Echoes would be an obvious choice. But nothing that PF did sounds exactly like Planet Caravan. Maybe due to the fact that keyboards are prominent in PF whereas in Sabbath, they're not.
Thing is i never said in the first place that PF sounds like Sabbath. I just said that they too wrote spacey/psychedelic music in their own style, of course.

And one of the reasons nobody sounded like Sabbath in planet caravan, was mainly due to Iommi's jazzy soloing. I can't remember many rock musicians who incorporated/preferred jazz guitar in their psychedelic/spacey stuff.

I have to agree with Egarran, I don't think PF is that similar. The guitar, percussion and vocals in Sabbath's are pretty different
