You kind of contradicted yourself there.
Yeah, that was a typo. I meant it isn't a 5.

Like you a grew up on this record and I still listen to it.

I'm not a fan of female vocals in rock music but omg she made her voice fit the music perfectly.

Hands down a classic, I wish more female singers nowadays would take the risks Alanis did on this record.

I bet the guy she wrote this album about is feeling it every single day. Powerful stuff

My 8th grade English teacher used Ironic to teach a lesson on irony.

I find it sad that she only made two good albums before crappification.

first point to make is that this album is firmly in my top 10 of all time. So it's not like I'm slating it or anything

BUT... the majority of the bass tracks were done on synth by Glenn Ballard (Producer). The only track Flea (and Dave Navarro - chili peppers' guitarist at the time) played on was You Oughtta Know. Which admittedly is an immense bassline. Some of the others are amazing too, but the only "real" bassline is You Oughtta Know.

I really, really love this album.

No matter how many listens, it really manages to make me feel good every time

(Especially when I'm feeling particularly unhappy at males ha!)

I like this album a lot. Alanis is first and foremost a poet and she's a great one. Sometimes she can be a bit too wordy in a couple of her songs on her, for example, "Not The Doctor". Other than that, it's great. Kudos, Alanis!

I love the wordiness. Not the Doctor is probably my second favorite song on the album (behind Forgiven) because of it. No one should be ashamed to listen to this, it's a great album.

An older version of me, is she perverted like me? Would she go down on you in a theater?

Curse.

This album suffers the fatal flaw of not possessing 'Joining You'
