His voice on Dream Weapon feels more like an additional texture amongst all of the synths instead of a focal point.

Trevor Naud ("Dan Greene") also handled all of the art for Dream Weapon. Add Nick Yacyshyn and Kurt Ballou to the mix and that album is sort of the electronic brother to Only Love and Ultrapop.

Yeah, I am not a fan of this one. I liked Clone, Public Grieving and the ending of Burned Mind but nothing else stood out to me.

I think the shiny clear production just doesn’t work for them. I can’t explain it other than it feels less cryptic. Like you aren’t peeling back the layers like on Only Love to hear those hooks or not digging through 9 layers of vocals to hear the individual parts like Ultrapop.
