The riffs aren't as massive here for sure

There are a few great solos though and Lonely Is The Word is one of Sabbath's best closers.

This album and Mob Rules are more about the vocals than the riffs which is why I dont like them as much as the first 6.

Apart from the vocals their first 6 are better in pretty much every way imo.

Band just didn't have the same level of creativity as on their first 6.

This one doesn't have the traditional Black Sabbath sound but I can't say that it's less creative than Vol 4 for example.

Its more consistent than Vol. 4 but doesnt have a song quite as good as Snowblind or Supernaut.

Well yeah but it's got the t/t, Die Young and Lonely in the Word. The thing is that this album is more about Dio and less about Iommi even though his performance is excellent.

I think the band all pulled together quite amazingly on this one, tbh. The riffs might not have the doom from earlier albums, but its go plenty of flare. I think that some of Iommi's best solos are on this record as well.

I'd say it's more about Dio and less about the band a a whole. Having said that, t/t, "Neon Knights" and Lonely is the Word" all rule.

Lol @ this being better than MoR or S/T.

It is a bit close to Sabotage and Vol. 4 though, so that part's debatable.

The Straightener is the best thing Sabbath ever did, but I don't about Wheels as a whole, Snowblind

and Under the Sun rule, but that's only 2 songs and I don't really see the hype with Supernaut

I used to think this was best Sabbath, but MoR converted me.

Lifechanging album.

I dont think this is that close to Sabotage tbh. Vol. 4 is the only one of the first 6 that this isnt far off.
