This is a problem everywhere to be honest. This isn't exclusive to sput, anywhere something is scored poorly and is well-received it causes an uproar because people do not hear out differing opinions. Not saying those in the comment section but your typical lurkers and such in general anywhere

This review, is for the most part, well-written grammatically, but otherwise, it’s so hard to be interested in reading because it comes off so obscure in its wording. It’s almost too erudite. Cool if that’s what you’re going for, but it didn’t work for me

I think it's interesting that everything you dislike about the album are my favorite aspects. MF DOOM's flow is immaculate, Madlib's beats are transcendent, and the overall vibe of the album is pristine. We could argue all day about it, but it's one of the best albums ever made (imo).

I don't find any particular aspects of the album unlikable per se. It's just that there aren't elements within it for which I feel a strong sense of appreciation. I've invested two hours delving into the lyrics on Rap Genius, seeking to understand its intricate wordplay – I 80% agree that Madvillainy is a lyrical masterpiece. However, I encountered issues with absorbing its rhythmic essence, vocal nuances, and the rationale behind crafting exceptionally remarkable tracks in such succinct durations. The length of these tracks feels limited to my ears – there are too few minutes for the themes to fully take off. As I mentioned in my review, I wish they had fused some of these tracks into longer sessions.
Remember, 2.5 is not a negative rating on a 0.5-5.0 scale, some might argue that is kind of is, especially in the context of a legendary album, but they're empirically wrong. What I consider the highlights of this album, at least, I think are solid 4.5 tracks.

It sounds like to me that a. You’re trying to find some way of justifying typing up an average review for this instead of just admitting that you didn’t give it enough of a chance (as you already kind of did but you’re already back pedaling lol) or b. You just don’t enjoy hip hop, which is fine, different strokes for different folks
